Alan Rudolph, CleanSlate’s Clinical Director, is also the Founder and Director of the Neighborhood Counseling Center. For over 20 years he served as Clinical Coordinator for the Southern California Counseling Center and was a supervisor for the Hollywood-Sunset Community Clinic, the L.A. Bridges Program and the South Bay Human Service Center.
Through my work with gang members I have come to learn that they are very much like me. What they lack are the resources that I have had and the belief in a future. In my childhood home there was no doubt that I would go to college and have a career. In the home of our gang members there was little doubt that they would spend time in prison and die young.
